Fucking paranoid schizophrenic: How dysfunctional is the White House?

While politics is not a kindergarten it is probably not very usual to hear the White House communications director describing the White House chief of staff as a fucking paranoid schizophrenic. In your opinion, does it tell us something about how functional/dysfunctional is the current White House? Read few comments.

Many observers of the Trump White House view it as a collection of different power centers with fierce divisions among the people involved and their opinions. In the past week, the new communications director has brought some of the rivalries to the forefront in the strongest possible terms. More than anything, however, his outbursts reflect a presidency that is not functioning smoothly or effectively. Instead of focusing on policy initiatives and governing, we keep seeing these clashes of personalities. Should there be a crisis affecting America, one seriously wonders if this White House would be ready.

The comments from the White House reflect a level of publicly-shared chaos and competition that are simply unprecedented. The president is supposed to be a businessman. Managing an enterprise requires discipline, an organizational structure and chain of command, and intense focus. Right now we are seeing none of those things.

To answer your question, yes this tells you exactly how dysfunctional it is. This shows how Trump has been unable to get better people to work in his administration.  This is unprecedented.

These latest outbursts from the White House are a symptom of the disorganization and chaos among the White House staff/ This is very untypical when measured against other white Houses of the recent past. Typically, White House staffs are tightly organized with a scripted message and a disciplined staff loyal to the president . The Trump White House displays none of these characteristics. Trump, through Twitter, and with little apparent planning, sends out controversial messages daily, seemingly without any advance notice to his staff. This leaves them scrambling when reporters come to them for explanation of more details.

At the same time, people who work for Trump appear to have little restraint when it comes to leaking to the news media. This further angers Trump and sets off more tirades.

Aside from appearing to be less than competent, this atmosphere confuses and alarms Republicans in Congress who are increasingly feeling less and less obligated to support the president and look out for their own skins.
